Fascist Cat Fancier - Fake Your Own Death Cover ArtHi Everyone,

So I promised myself I would do this. I promised myself I would release the new “Fascist Cat Fancier” single tonight. But then I got distracted. I got a call. I had dinner. I watched Anderson Cooper. I fell asleep. Now, today, many days — at least a week — after having been recorded I’m finally releasing it. Here it is in all its glory. It’s called “Fake your own death.”

Lots,
R. K.

Song: “Marshall Street”

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

This isn’t a new, new song, but is, instead, a song from last spring. I will probably redo it when I get to Machine With Magnets.

Song: “Eye In The Sky”

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

Eye In The Sky is this week’s little opus. It’s got a vaguely Peter Hammill-ish feel to it. The weather here was beautiful until it turned yesterday and started pouring and hasn’t stopped since. People have been writing me nice things through myspace. Thanks for that.

Discovering: Last.fm

I have to write a little bit about Audioscrobbler (UPDATE: Last.fm). I’ve been getting into it and what with my love of data mining and all that muck this seems so great. Every time you play a song in any software mp3 player (UPDATE: Works with iPods and iPhones, too. –8/1/2008) it sends info about it to audiscrobbler and they keep a tally of all the songs you’ve ever listened to. Pretty cool if their website didn’t seem to be constantly falling apart and not working and stuff. like friendster quality work or somethng. My profile is here.
